Recall that former President Goodluck Jonathan, in October 2014, signed into law the National Health Act (NHAct).
The Act provides a legal framework for the provision of health care services to all Nigerians and for the organization and management of the health system.
A key component of the NHAct is the establishment of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF), which aims to extend Primary Health Care (PHC) to all by substantially increasing the level of financial resources to PHC services.
