MUHAMADU BUHARI'S ADMINISTRATION, A FAILED DEMOCRACY - Buhari

The fact that youths are leaders of today and tomorrow to an extent has almost turned out to be a pure fallacy considering the operations of the leaders; and not giving the youths the opportunity to give their views and contribute effectively to the country's political development.

Nigeria as a nation that portrays herself as giant of Africa has turned to be a mock by other African countries that look up to her in terms of economy, security and collaborative support. Remarkably, Nigeria has been in a very bad state for decades, but things worsened since Muhammadu Burahi emerged President of the Federal Republic. Muhammadu Buhari turned a deaf leader that has refused to listen to the cry of the citizens.

Apparently, the abject suffering of citizens is as a result of Muhamadu Buhari's unreasonable policies and selfish interest to monopolize the general affairs of a country that belongs to millions of people. The president unreasonably stopped importation of goods which has caused unseen hardship of both big and small in the country; given opportunities to few in his circle to reap off the poor masses. Rice that is the commonest thing to keep surviving families has turn to a diamond a common Nigerian struggle to afford. Importation made most commodities and products cheaper over the years, because when there are a lot of persons bringing product into the country, competition is always present which favours consumers in many  ways.

As a result, the presence of crime in Nigeria is caused by bad governance and lack of structural planning to better the lives of the citizens. The rate of crime in Nigeria cannot be compared to the level of hardship in the country, otherwise things would have gotten worse than they are, but the youths have tried to level the situation by working hard to survive; eating from hand to mouth because there are no jobs available for them, what a nation!

In extension, the extortion of Nigerian youths by SARS and the level of Police Brutally became dominant where the youths have perpetually been ripped off  by the police who are meant to protect and maintain peace and order.

The EndSars movement with no doubt has awakened the consciousness of Nigerian youths of the rights they deserve in their fatherland. The youths deserve the opportunity to see to the affairs of the country.

Sadly, the curfew imposed by the Lagos State Government in conjunction with Federal Government was simply an act of force in democracy. The youths have the constitutional right to speak their minds peacefully in their fatherland. The action that caused the sudden death of Nigerian youths with good intentions is a global disgrace to the present administration. There is need as it stands to address the ills going on in Nigeria.

Democracy has indeed failed in Nigeria.
